We are partnered with a global design practice looking to appoint a Design Leader to help elevate the creative direction of its New York studio. This is an opportunity to join a highly respected, design-led environment that integrates strategy, interiors, engineering, and delivery under one roof - and to contribute to some of the most forward-thinking workplace environments in the city.
You'll drive concept design, storytelling, and early visioning across a diverse mix of workplace and lifestyle projects, working alongside an established leadership team known for award-winning design excellence. The right person will bring strong creative instincts, confident presentation skills, and the ability to mentor mid-level and senior designers within a fast-paced, collaborative studio.
What you'll do
- Lead concept design, narrative development, and client-facing presentations
- Shape compelling design stories and visual material for pursuits and project kick-offs
- Partner with strategists, architects, and delivery teams to maintain design intent throughout the project lifecycle
- Strengthen studio design culture and mentor designers across levels
- Represent the New York studio with confidence in front of clients and industry collaborators
What we're looking for
- 8-18 years of experience in Interior Design (workplace and hospitality-influenced work ideal)
- Strong conceptual portfolio demonstrating clear thinking and refined visual storytelling
- Confident communicator - able to present ideas with clarity and presence
- Proven ability to lead design direction and elevate overall design quality
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within an integrated, global platform
