Controller - A/E/C Experience Required

We are partnered with a longstanding, design-focused Architecture practice with a reputation for iconic work and a highly professional, well-structured environment. They're hiring a Corporate Controller in Los Angeles to lead their accounting function and support the CFO in driving financial clarity, operational discipline, and firmwide performance.

This is a key leadership role overseeing a team of four and owning all core accounting operations across a multi-office business. The position offers a clear path to the CFO position over the next few years.

What you'll lead

• Full monthly close, financial reporting, and audit coordination

• Project costing, budgeting, and revenue projections

• Cash management, debt covenant reporting, and compliance

• Payroll oversight and internal controls

• ERP optimisation (Deltek Vision) and process improvements

• Integration between accounting, contracts, and PM teams

• Special projects including forecasting, tax credits, and due diligence

What they're looking for

• 10+ years in accounting with progressive leadership

• Strong GL, GAAP, and project-based accounting experience

• AEC background (architecture/engineering/construction) preferred

• Expertise in project costing, financial analysis, and forecasting

• Confident communicator who can partner directly with firm leadership

• Organised, fast-paced, high-integrity leader with a process-improvement mindset

• Deltek Vision/ERP experience a plus

• CPA/CMA highly preferred.
