CSG Talent are proudly working with a leading provider of mining technology, with a broad portfolio spanning exploration, mine planning and operations. We are currently looking for a Commercial Director to join the team in the US who will be responsible for leading the expansion of all their product portfolios, with a focus on the North American market.

This Commercial Director - North America will be based in the United States, with preference for a major mining city such as Tucson, Phoenix, Salt Lake City or Denver. You will report to the VP Commercial, who is based in Canada.

The key responsibilities for this Commercial Director role include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and delivering a strategic sales plan to penetrate and dominate the North American market to achieve revenue targets.
  • Identifying key market segments, customer profiles, and industry trends to tailor sales approaches and effectively position our solutions.
  • Alignment with required sales objectives, metrics, and KPIs ensuring performance alignment with business goals.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, including both technical managers and domain experts, through to C-level executives and decision-makers within mining/resource companies.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities by leveraging industry contacts, attending conferences, and participating in relevant industry events.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, service delivery and research and development /product management personnel, to align sales strategies with market needs ensuring a consistent and strategically aligned approach.
  • Driving market expansion efforts by identifying and prioritizing focussed key accounts where strategic sales opportunities can be developed and closed throughout North America.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancements or new offerings.

Essential requirements are:

  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or geology.
  • 8+ years successful experience in mining technology & software sales.
  • Track record in successful enterprise and strategic sales, focussed on technology within the mining industry.
  • Based in the United States
