Commercial Director - Battery Recycling

CSG Talent are pleased to be supporting a German battery recycling player who are seeking a highly accomplished Commercial Director to spearhead the expansion of its European business. This is a confidential search, offering an exceptional opportunity to join a pioneering organisation at the forefront of the energy transition.

You will:

• Develop and execute the European commercial strategy for battery recycling, covering EV, ESS and industrial applications.

• Lead customer engagement across OEMs, cell manufacturers, energy storage providers and industrial clients.

• Drive long-term partnerships, contracts, and revenue growth across the value chain.

• Represent the business with senior stakeholders, shaping the company's position as the recycling partner of choice in Europe.

• Collaborate closely with global leadership to align on strategic direction and investment priorities.

You have:

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience within battery recycling, battery materials, or related energy/chemical sectors.

• Strong network across European EV OEMs, cell makers, and tier-1 suppliers.

• Fluent German and English. Additional European languages a plus.

• Demonstrated success in building business strategies, winning contracts, and scaling revenue.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-moving, high growth environment.

• Ideally located in Germany already or willing to relocate.
