Chief Financial Officer (CFO) - Guyana

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a single site aggregates quarry for their pivotal next step. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, this role will provide strategic financial leadership while supporting operational performance and long-term business objectives. This role wiill require relocation to Georgetown, Guyana.

The CFO will take full ownership of the financial function, ensuring robust financial management, strong governance, and the delivery of accurate, timely insights to support decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and the Board.
• Provide commercial insight to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Oversee cost control initiatives, including detailed analysis of cost per tonne.
• Manage cashflow, banking relationships, and financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.
• Maintain strong financial governance, controls, and policies.
• Oversee accounting operations, audits, and procurement processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role within the mining or quarrying industry.
• Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, and financial control.
• Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to influence operational decision-making.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams.
