CEO Opportunity - Breakthrough Nanoparticle Delivery Platform

An early-stage biotech company developing a proprietary nanoparticle delivery platform is seeking a visionary and execution-focused Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its next stage of growth.
Following a successful Series A financing backed by top-tier VCs and global health organizations, the company is positioned to advance its next-generation PK/PD-enhancing delivery system toward IND-enabling studies and strategic partnerships.
Our client is redefining therapeutic delivery with a unique, modular nanoparticle platform designed to enhance drug bioavailability, targeting, and durability across a range of modalities. The platform has demonstrated compelling preclinical data across multiple programs and is poised to enter translational development.
The incoming CEO will be responsible for setting and executing corporate strategy, securing future funding, expanding scientific and operational teams, and partnering with investors, academia, and biopharma collaborators.
Define and implement a clear corporate vision and R&D roadmap
Lead all aspects of company operations including fundraising, business development, and team building
Cultivate strong investor and strategic partner relationships
Recruit and retain world-class scientific, operational, and commercial talent
Oversee regulatory strategy and preclinical development milestones
Serve as the external face of the company with media, partners, and conferences
Proven biotech executive or entrepreneur with CEO, COO, or Founder-level experience in platform therapeutics
Strong fundraising track record (Seed/Series A/B and beyond)
Deep understanding of drug delivery, nanotechnology, or biologics
Experience advancing programs from discovery through IND or early clinical stages
Demonstrated ability to grow and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced startup environment
Ability to navigate early-stage ambiguity and communicate scientific vision to a diverse stakeholder base
PhD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in life sciences, bioengineering, or related field
Prior exit or M&A experience a plus
Boston/Cambridge-based or willingness to relocate
