Our client is building and operating a large-scale Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power project in Uzbekistan. Upon completion, it will be one of the nation's largest power-generating facilities, playing a pivotal role in meeting Uzbekistan's growing energy demands from both industrial and residential sectors.
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager with a background in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering to join this major development initiative. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of the project, delivering world-class standards in construction and operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Project CEO and serve as the primary interface with shareholders, regulators, the Owner's Engineer, EPC Contractor, and external legal consultants.
- Oversee the execution and delivery of the project across various stages of development and construction, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Represent and enforce best practices in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address and resolve construction-related challenges, maintaining a proactive approach to risk management.
- Ensure seamless coordination and communication among all project stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in the construction and management of Thermal Power Plants, with significant exposure to Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP).
- A minimum of 5 years in a Construction Manager role, overseeing large-scale, complex projects.
- Proven experience in managing international projects and working with diverse regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, engineering principles, and HSE best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with regulatory environment in similar international markets.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including regulators, legal consultants, and contractors.
