We are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Business Development Director - National Security to lead and expand our engagement with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), intelligence agencies, and other national security stakeholders. This senior-level role will be instrumental in aligning the company's cutting-edge space sustainability and servicing technologies with evolving national security needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development strategy and execution for the national security sector in the U.S.
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic relationships with DoD, U.S. Space Force, DARPA, and intelligence community agencies.
- Shape and influence government requirements, RFPs, and funding opportunities to align with our mission and capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and mission design teams to align technical roadmaps with customer needs.
- Represent company at key industry and government forums, conferences, and working groups.
- Lead proposal efforts, including capture strategy, pricing, partnerships, and bid management for national security contracts.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and policy developments relevant to defense space operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, government affairs, or program management in the defense or aerospace sector.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. national security space ecosystem, including key players, procurement processes, and technology trends.
- Proven track record of securing government contracts and building trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- U.S. citizenship and active/current security clearance (Secret required; TS/SCI preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with on-orbit servicing or space domain awareness.
- Technical degree or background in aerospace engineering, physics, or a related field.
- Experience working in or with early-stage or high-growth technology companies.
