Historically, RSC handled their own recruitment therefore had no exposure to working with a global recruitment partner. RSC had a business-critical role to recruit, a senior level position for a General Manager. This role not only required a highly capable individual with industry experience and the relevant skillset, but it also involved a relocation process to New Zealand during the Covid-19 pandemic. Due to the complex nature of the recruitment campaign and the urgency to appoint a new General Manager to fulfil business goals, RSC were keen to engage with a recruitment partner. This role was vital in organising, controlling and reviewing the company's day-to-day operations and major functions.
CSG Talent conducted an in-depth global network search, contacting multiple contacts and seeking active and passive candidates with the relevant skills and experience outlined by the client.
CSG Talent contacted and screened over 100 potential candidates worldwide. The Mining recruitment team shortlisted the top candidates based on experience, qualifications, passion for geology and desire to relocate to New Zealand, Keeping RSC updated on progress and consulting with them in regards to any challenges throughout the entire process to keep communication consistent.
After the Mining recruitment team contacted a large pool of suitable candidates, they provided a shortlist of five candidates to RSC; Of this shortlist, three attended a two stage interview process with the successful General Manager hired to relocate from France to New Zealand, with CSG Talent sourcing the most highly qualified professional with extensive experience and knowledge, who also felt the business was a great cultural match for them, and the team at RSC.
