The Senior Manager, Grid Strategy & Solutions will support the evaluation and execution of grid infrastructure strategy across EMEA markets. The role focuses on assessing grid availability, capacity, risks, and delivery timelines to inform site selection, development planning, and long-term growth.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders-including TSOs, DNOs, utilities, and energy partners-the role ensures a strong understanding of regional grid dynamics to enable reliable and sustainable power delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary interface with TSOs, DNOs, utilities, and authorities for EMEA developments
Evaluate grid capacity, constraints, lead times, and infrastructure readiness across target markets
Develop and maintain GIS-based grid intelligence tools to support site selection and land acquisition
Lead the transition of grid strategy and permitting into delivery and execution teams
Identify grid delivery acceleration and cost-optimisation opportunities (HV substations, storage, behind-the-meter, alternative supply)
Assess grid delivery and operational risks and support mitigation planning
Support sustainability and efficiency objectives in power delivery design
Maintain a centralised view of grid status, timelines, and risks across the portfolio
Report power delivery progress and risks to EMEA leadership
Skills & Experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, or related discipline
5-10 years' experience in grid strategy, power delivery, or utility engineering (data centres or mission-critical infrastructure preferred)
Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution planning, interconnection processes, and utility frameworks
Experience developing regional grid strategies across multiple EMEA markets
Expertise in grid mapping tools and infrastructure intelligence systems
Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
