Our client is a global OEM of mobile mining equipment. Their mission is to pioneer the future of mining by delivering cutting-edge automation technologies that redefine safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Due to increased growth, they are looking for a System Integration Engineer to join their R&D team. This is a broad, hands-on role focused on integrating, testing, and improving automation systems on real equipment.
You'll sit across software, hardware and product, working closely with engineers and developers to take features from concept through to deployment.
This role is ideally based in Garland, TX, on a hybrid working schedule.
In this System Integration Engineer role, you will also be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Reducing time to market and increasing sustainability of Automation products by improving task preparation, refinement and collaboration.
- Taking ownership of prioritized tasks from the backlog, collaborating within the agile team (Engineers, Testers, Developers, Documentation, Marketing etc.) throughout the development cycle to define, refine, implement and verify requirements.
- Designing and developing products by studying and understanding customer and equipment requirements and researching different solutions.
- Assessing and calculating the technical features of a project plan to ensure that the systems engineering procedures are operating correctly.
- Using computer-assisted design (CAD) software, as needed, to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the physical product.
- Establishing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, networking and system management tools.
Essentials:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM, Engineering preferred.
- Exposure to the mining industry, particularly developing algorithms for drilling products.
- Ability and willingness to travel to mine sites.
- Software developing and maintenance experience.
- Based in Texas, with rights to work in the USA.
