Are you seeking a hands-on flight test instrumentation role supporting the certification of a new class of all-electric aircraft?

Our client is hiring a Staff Flight Test Instrumentation Specialist to support the design, development, and certification of a next-generation all-electric aircraft.

Location: Hollister
Duration: 12-month assignment

This role sits at the heart of flight test operations. You'll work hands-on with a one-of-a-kind Gen 6 aircraft, partnering closely with flight test, engineering, and product teams to ensure instrumentation systems deliver precise, reliable data - every flight, every test.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot bespoke flight test instrumentation
  • Support the design of data acquisition systems, including sensor selection
  • Perform pre- and post-test system checkouts and calibrations
  • Assist with post-test data processing
  • Develop new tools and procedures to advance instrumentation capability
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to proactively manage and reduce program risk

About You

  • Experience instrumenting experimental aircraft
  • Hands-on work with sensors such as strain gauges, accelerometers, temperature sensors, and VDTs
  • Strong background building, terminating, and installing instrumentation wiring harnesses
  • Experience with data telemetry systems
  • Proven ability to instrument complex aviation systems
