The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specification Manager to join this well-established organisation help plan and drive the plans to grow and invest in the future success of the business.

As the Specification Manager You will be promoting this business's footprint and brand Australia-wide, ensuring this product line is at the forefront of all Architects and Specifiers minds. You will use your existing experience and industry knowledge to stay on top of industry trends, Australian Standards, Codes and regulations and to continually develop and maintain relationships.

DUTIES

  • Drive specification with; Architects, Designers, Engineers & Specifiers for Commercial projects
  • Consult and liaise with fire consultants and ESD consultants
  • Build, develop and grow a strong project pipeline of specifications
  • Work closely with your counterpart who will be responsible for project tracking the specification through to completion with the builders and contractors
  • Keep up to dates with the NCC regulations particularly around section J - Energy Efficiency
  • Network effectively with; Architects, Designers, Engineers, Asset Owners, fire consultants and ESD consultants to ensure you forge strong relationships
  • Plan, prepare and conduct CPD presentations to Architect & Specifiers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years' experience in a Specification sales role
  • A demonstrable track record specification success & experience working in the following industries: Windows & Doors, Hardware, Facades, Screening & Louvres, Wall panels & Acoustics.
  • Natural ability to build rapport and relationships in the Architectural community, strong negotiation skills and knows how to close the deal
  • A strong work ethic and moral compass - you are committed to providing quality service to all customers.
  • A confident presenter, self-motivated, a strategic thinker with the ability to think on their feet.
