Sourcing Manager - Nutritional Ingredients

Our client is seeking an experienced Chinese-speaking Sourcing Manager to support the strategic sourcing of nutritional ingredients from manufacturers across China.

Working as part of a global sourcing team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing supplier partnerships, negotiating commercial agreements and ensuring a resilient, competitive supply chain that supports customers across the North American market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop strategic manufacturing partners across China.
• Build and manage long-term supplier relationships to support the company's global sourcing strategy.
• Source new ingredients and manufacturing partners to strengthen and expand the product portfolio.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, supply agreements and contract terms.
• Monitor global ingredient markets, raw material pricing and supply chain developments to identify commercial opportunities and mitigate supply risk.
• Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to support supplier qualification, audits and ongoing performance management.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales and Operations to introduce new ingredients and respond to evolving market demand.
• Ensure continuity of supply while maintaining the highest standards of quality, service and commercial performance.
• Travel throughout China and internationally to visit suppliers and attend key industry events as required.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess:

• Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively across international teams.
• Proven experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, category management or supplier management within the nutritional ingredients industry.
• A strong understanding of the Chinese manufacturing landscape and established experience developing strategic supplier partnerships.
• Demonstrated success negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier performance.
• Experience working within the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, food ingredient, pharmaceutical or specialty chemical sectors.
• A sound understanding of international supply chains, supplier qualification processes and global sourcing best practices.
• Strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
