The Opportunity

As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as the critical link between customers, sales, engineering, suppliers, and service teams. This is a hands-on technical role focused on supporting solution-based projects from concept through to realization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing layouts, designs, and technical solutions for customer applications.
  • Preparing cost estimates, drawings, specifications, and proposal documentation.
  • Supporting sales teams with technical presentations and customer engagement.
  • Conducting equipment selection, performance validation, and product testing.
  • Managing elements of project engineering including supplier coordination and scheduling.
  • Supporting production planning for locally assembled products.
  • Collaborating with service teams during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives using design and simulation tools.
  • Ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 systems and quality standards.

The role is primarily office-based but includes site visits and occasional interstate travel. Overseas travel may be required for training.

About You

You are a technically capable and commercially aware engineer who thrives in a project-driven environment.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working on varied project sizes within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar design software.
  • Solid project management and coordination capability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude with strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
