Overview
We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation within the agricultural inputs sector to appoint a Senior Regional Sales Manager to lead a key West Coast territory.
This role is responsible for driving commercial performance across a multi-million-dollar region, managing both existing business and new market development. The position operates within a distribution-led model and requires close collaboration with customers, supplier partners, and internal operations teams.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial leadership with technical credibility, delivering value-driven solutions across a portfolio of crop nutrition and raw material products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute regional sales strategy across the West Coast, with full ownership of revenue growth and market expansion
- Manage and develop key customer relationships across distributors, retailers, and end users
- Drive complex, multi-stage sales cycles, ensuring long-term contract stability and profitable growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across agricultural markets
- Act as a technical and commercial advisor, supporting customers with tailored product and program recommendations
- Collaborate with supplier partners to align product availability, pricing, and service delivery with market needs
- Work closely with internal teams across supply chain, logistics, and operations to ensure consistent execution
- Monitor market trends and provide commercial insight to support strategic decision-making
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in agricultural sales, crop nutrition, fertilizers, or related chemical markets
- Proven track record of managing and growing a significant regional territory
- Experience working within a distribution or multi-channel sales environment strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial drivers including pricing, margin, forecasting, and inventory dynamics
- Demonstrated success in key account management and business development
- Ability to operate autonomously while managing a complex territory
Technical & Market Profile
- Solid understanding of plant nutrition, fertilizers, and related product categories
- Ability to engage in consultative, solution-based selling with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of West Coast agricultural markets and established industry relationships
