Senior Mechanical Engineer

A globally recognised engineering consultancy is expanding its mechanical team in San Diego and is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a leading technical role on complex building projects in the US and internationally.

This position involves acting as Mechanical Lead on assigned projects, contributing to concept and preliminary engineering, and delivering coordinated detailed design through construction. The work spans technically demanding environments including laboratories, higher education, mission-critical, healthcare, and large commercial developments, with a strong focus on performance, sustainability, and integrated building systems.

Collaboration is central to how this team operates. You'll work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, with clear technical responsibility and the opportunity to influence design decisions on high-profile projects, while continuing to develop your own technical depth and leadership capability.

What they're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years' experience in mechanical building services / HVAC engineering
• PE licensure - ideally CA.
• Proven experience delivering complex building projects
• Sector exposure ideally across healthcare, mission-critical, labs, higher education, and commercial
• Strong Revit experience
