Senior Manager, Compensation

The Senior Manager, Compensation will lead a high-performing team responsible for the design, governance, and ongoing enhancement of company-wide compensation programs that support business objectives and talent strategies. This position serves as the primary owner of Workday Compensation, overseeing system configuration, testing, releases, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with HR, HRIS, Finance, and business leadership, the role ensures compensation programs remain competitive in the market, internally equitable, operationally efficient, and supported by accurate data.

This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid schedule (Monday-Friday) based at the company's corporate office in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with three days onsite and two days remote each week.

Relocation Support: A $10,000 relocation bonus plus a comprehensive relocation package is available for candidates moving more than 50 miles for the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Compensation team.
  • Serve as a strategic compensation advisor to leaders, HR partners, and key stakeholders, aligning programs to business priorities.
  • Present insights and compensation analytics to senior leadership through effective data storytelling.
  • Oversee base pay structures, incentive plan cycles, and governance of compensation planning processes.
  • Monitor global compensation trends and collaborate with European HR partners where applicable.
  • Manage the design and upkeep of salary ranges, premium pay programs, and short-term incentive plans.
  • Direct market pricing, job leveling guidance, and pay equity reviews.
  • Maintain compensation policies, job architecture alignment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with Finance and HR Business Partners on KPIs and workforce analytics.
  • Own Workday Compensation configuration, testing, release management, security, and governance processes.
  • Improve user experience and streamline annual and off-cycle compensation processes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, audits, and reporting through Workday.
  • Lead annual compensation cycles including merit increases, bonuses, promotions, and communications.
  • Govern off-cycle compensation actions to maintain fairness and consistency.
  • Drive reduction of processing errors and stronger audit outcomes.
  • Manage external market data sources, benchmarking resources, vendor relationships, and related tools to ensure quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Human Resources, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing or other Manufacturing Settings Preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience across Business, Finance, or Human Resources.
  • Strong expertise in Workday Compensation configuration and administration.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills.
  • Global compensation experience preferred.
  • Experience with pay equity analysis and enterprise-wide compensation enablement preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience coaching others on compensation principles and best practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%, domestically and internationally.
