Senior Land Acquisition Specialist - Finland

A rapidly growing digital infrastructure company is expanding its development activities in Finland and is looking for an experienced Senior Land Acquisition Specialist to help identify, secure and progress strategic sites for large-scale data centre and digital infrastructure projects.

This is a senior, hands-on role combining land acquisition, zoning, permitting and power/grid considerations. You will play a key role in building the Finnish development pipeline and taking opportunities from initial site identification through to development readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess land opportunities suitable for large-scale digital infrastructure projects.
  • Build relationships with landowners, municipalities, authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead land negotiations and secure land rights, options, leases and acquisition agreements.
  • Assess zoning, planning, permitting and development requirements.
  • Evaluate power availability, grid connection potential and wider infrastructure requirements.
  • Engage with grid operators and relevant authorities to understand connection opportunities and constraints.
  • Lead early-stage site due diligence and coordinate technical, legal and commercial assessments.
  • Maintain and develop a pipeline of potential sites and report on opportunities, risks and progress.
  • Work closely with internal development, technical and investment teams to progress projects.

About You

We are looking for an experienced development professional with a strong understanding of the Finnish land and infrastructure market.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in land acquisition, site origination or project development in Finland.
  • Strong knowledge of Finnish zoning, planning and permitting processes.
  • Experience negotiating with landowners and public-sector stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of electricity networks, grid connections and power availability.
  • Experience in data centres, renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure or other power-intensive developments is highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to independently identify opportunities, assess risks and drive projects forward.
  • Fluency in Finnish and English.
