Senior Field Operations Specialist - Zambia

We are looking for an experienced Senior Field Operations Specialist to lead geophysical field operations across Zambia and the wider Southern and Central Africa region. You'll act as the senior technical lead across Active Seismic, ANT, MT and Gravity, spending around 100 days a year in the field leading crews, ensuring data quality, and solving technical challenges in real time. Based in Zambia, you'll also support regional equipment and warehouse operations between deployments.

What You'll Do

• Lead the mobilisation and start-up of new geophysical projects, from crew building and equipment preparation through to first acquisition.
• Lead and develop field crews, providing technical guidance, training and hands-on QC.
• Ensure acquisition meets required technical, data-quality and HSE standards.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and acquisition issues and make decisions on re-acquisition where required.
• Manage equipment readiness, inventory, calibration and mobilisation from the Zambia warehouse.
• Support the commercial team with technical input into proposals, feasibility and client discussions.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in geophysical field acquisition, ideally across Active Seismic, ANT, MT, Gravity, EM or related methods.
• Proven experience supervising field teams and setting up new projects or crews from scratch.
• Strong practical understanding of geophysical acquisition, field QC and instrumentation.
• Comfortable working in remote environments and travelling extensively across the region.
• Valid driver's licence and fluent English.
• Based in Zambia or willing to relocate, with the right to live and work in Zambia.
• A degree/diploma in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred. Additional regional languages are an advantage.
