Senior Electrical Engineer
The Opportunity
We are partnering with an early-stage defense technology company developing advanced autonomous and power systems for demanding environments.
They are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of critical electrical hardware from architecture and design through testing, production, and deployment.
Depending on your expertise, the role may focus on high-speed digital and embedded hardware, motor controls, or battery and power electronics. Deep technical expertise in one area is the priority.
What You'll Do
- Own electrical hardware from requirements and architecture through design, validation, and production.
- Lead schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, board bring-up, and debugging.
- Design complex multilayer PCBAs across embedded, mixed-signal, high-current, and/or high-speed systems.
- Work closely with embedded software engineers on hardware/software integration.
- Troubleshoot power, signal integrity, noise, thermal, communications, and system-level issues.
- Develop and execute board- and system-level testing and validation.
- Work across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to move hardware from prototype to production.
- Support field testing, failure analysis, and continued hardware improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in high-speed digital electronics, motor-control/drive electronics, battery systems, power electronics, or power distribution.
- Strong schematic design, PCB layout, board bring-up, and debugging experience.
- Experience designing and reviewing complex multilayer PCBs.
- Experience integrating hardware with embedded software, sensors, actuators, power systems, or vehicle controls.
- Strong electrical fundamentals and hands-on lab experience.
- Experience developing reliable electronics for demanding environments.
- Ability to take significant technical ownership while collaborating across engineering disciplines.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
