We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Engineer with deep, hands-on experience implementing enterprise data governance solutions using Collibra in highly regulated environments.

This is a technical, implementation-focused role, ideal for someone who has owned governance tooling, metadata, and lineage frameworks rather than operating solely at a policy or advisory level.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Governance

  • Design, implement, and operate enterprise data governance frameworks using Collibra
  • Configure and manage data catalogs, metadata models, lineage, stewardship workflows, and governance assets
  • Establish data standards, ownership models, and governance processes in partnership with business and technical teams

Metadata, Lineage & Master Data

  • Build and maintain enterprise metadata and classification models
  • Manage business glossaries, data dictionaries, and stewardship workflows
  • Support master data consistency and governance across multiple platforms and systems

Data Architecture & Integration

  • Support governed data architectures across modern data platforms (cloud and on-prem)
  • Enable secure data sharing and access policies aligned with federal compliance standards
  • Partner with engineering teams to integrate governed data sources and pipelines

Platform Enablement & Adoption

  • Provide technical guidance on Collibra integrations with platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, and Databricks
  • Enable and support self-service data discovery for business users
  • Act as a technical advisor to data stewards, architects, and analytics teams

Automation & Advanced Capabilities

  • Implement automated metadata ingestion and lineage capture
  • Leverage AI/ML-enabled features within governance platforms to improve data quality and observability
  • Continuously optimize governance workflows and processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (U.S.-accredited)
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management or data governance
  • Proven, hands-on experience implementing and configuring Collibra
  • Strong background in metadata management, data lineage, and master data governance
  • Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and integration patterns
  • Experience working in federal or highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, federal data regulations)
  • U.S. Citizen with an active DHS clearance

Why Consider This Opportunity

  • Work on mission-critical federal data programs
  • Own and influence enterprise-scale data governance implementations
  • Collaborate with senior technical and business stakeholders
  • Engage with modern cloud and data technologies
  • Long-term program stability within the federal space
