Senior Construction Project Manager

A well-established and highly respected General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing construction team in California.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background delivering complex, high-value commercial construction projects and experience working for a leading General Contractor.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. You will work closely with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, contracts and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Lead client and project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Identify and manage project risks, changes and potential cost impacts.
• Oversee project forecasting, cost reporting and change order management.
• Work collaboratively with estimating and preconstruction teams.
• Ensure projects meet the company's high standards for safety, quality and client satisfaction.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction.
• A background working for a reputable, established General Contractor.
• Experience delivering complex, large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong financial and budget management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of scheduling, contracts and subcontractor management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain excellent client relationships.
