An established commercial roofing contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join its team in the Greater Toronto Area. The company specialises in commercial and industrial roofing projects, delivering high-quality roofing solutions across a diverse range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimating professional to take ownership of the bidding process, contribute to business growth and play a key role in securing profitable projects.

The successful candidate will oversee the full estimating process, from initial tender review through to final bid submission. Responsibilities will include reviewing architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation; completing detailed material and labour take-offs; preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals; obtaining and negotiating supplier and subcontractor pricing; identifying project risks and cost-saving opportunities; and ensuring bids meet commercial requirements and profitability targets. You will also liaise with general contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams, attend pre-bid meetings and assist with the handover of awarded projects.

Candidates should have significant experience estimating within the commercial roofing industry, ideally with exposure to large-scale commercial, industrial and institutional projects in the Canadian market. A strong understanding of roofing systems, installation methods, construction drawings, specifications, labour requirements and material pricing is essential. Experience with TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen and other low-slope roofing applications would be highly advantageous. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, detail-oriented and capable of independently managing multiple complex tenders and deadlines. Experience with roofing estimating software, The EDGE and Bluebeam Revu would also be beneficial.
