he Sales Manager - Foodservice will report to the VP of Sales and is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of current accounts while actively pursuing new client opportunities within the foodservice sector. This role emphasizes strategic acquisition of new accounts from targeted customer lists and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to drive growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals by managing an assigned portfolio and expanding the foodservice business through new account acquisition

  • Use personal and professional networks to identify prospects and develop new business opportunities

  • Monitor account performance and implement corrective strategies to address potential challenges

  • Create territory-specific growth plans, maintaining an organized and active pipeline of prospective clients in CRM systems

  • Ensure budgets for marketing, travel, entertainment, and product sampling are properly managed and optimized

  • Establish and maintain a regular schedule of client visits to ensure consistent coverage of both existing and new accounts

  • Listen attentively to client needs and provide solutions based on analysis and gathered insights

  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure smooth daily operations for current accounts

  • Manage inventory levels, including frozen product categories, across assigned accounts

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in CRM tools to support follow-up and reporting

  • Prepare and present business proposals to key decision-makers

  • Complete additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by sales leadership


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; 5+ years of relevant sales experience may substitute for a degree

  • Strong technical skills with Microsoft Office and other common business applications

  • Familiarity with corporate systems (SAGE, SEI) - training available as needed

  • Experience using CRM platforms; knowledge of Creatio is a plus

  • Understanding of the sales process within the foodservice industry

  • Established relationships with foodservice operators or decision-makers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multiple management levels
