About the Opportunity

An innovative engineering and automation solutions business is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of complex material handling, automation, and intralogistics projects across Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of customers, engineering, operations, and project delivery, taking ownership of projects from initial solution definition through to implementation and completion.

The successful candidate will thrive in a customer-facing environment, balancing technical understanding, commercial awareness, and project leadership to deliver successful outcomes for clients operating in fast-paced industrial and logistics environments.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while acting as a key point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders.

You will work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are understood, risks are managed, and projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects through the full project lifecycle from scope definition to final delivery
• Partner with customers to understand operational requirements and ensure successful project outcomes
• Translate technical solutions into clearly defined project scopes, deliverables, and implementation plans
• Coordinate engineering, operations, suppliers, contractors, and installation resources
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics
• Lead customer communications, project reviews, progress reporting, and issue resolution
• Support solution development and proposal activities alongside commercial and technical teams
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project governance requirements

About You

You are a proactive project professional who enjoys solving problems, building relationships, and delivering technically complex projects.

You will ideally bring:

• 5+ years' experience in project management, program management, or technical project delivery
• Experience within automation, intralogistics, material handling, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments
• Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and system layouts
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer expectations, project objectives, and business outcomes
• Strong planning, organisation, and risk management capabilities

Highly Regarded

• Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related technical background
• Experience delivering warehouse automation, conveyor, material handling, robotics, or integrated systems projects
• Exposure to solution development, technical proposals, or customer-facing engineering environments
