Project Engineer - Dairy

You will manage capital projects from concept through commissioning, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and start-up execution.

You will lead installation and upgrades of dairy processing equipment such as pasteurizers (HTST), separators, homogenizers, evaporators, dryers, cheese vats, CIP systems, and packaging lines.

You will develop project justifications, cost estimates, and ROI analysis aligned with site and corporate strategic plans.

You will coordinate contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

You will support plant reliability initiatives by improving equipment performance, reducing downtime, and driving preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

You will ensure all projects comply with USDA, FDA, PMO, and food safety regulations, as well as internal quality standards.

You will assist with process optimization, utilities upgrades (boilers, refrigeration, compressed air), and plant infrastructure improvements.

What You Will Bring

You will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.

You will have 3+ years of project engineering experience within dairy, food, beverage, or high-speed manufacturing. Dairy experience strongly preferred.

You will demonstrate knowledge of sanitary design principles, CIP systems, and food-grade processing environments.

You will have experience managing capital budgets and executing projects in a live production setting.

You will be comfortable working in a 24/7 manufacturing facility and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.

You will bring strong organizational skills, technical problem-solving ability, and clear communication with both plant teams and senior leadership.
