Program Manager / Electrical Engineer - ESAD

Location: Utah (Full-Time, Onsite) or Remote (Contract, with Travel)

About the Opportunity

We're partnering with an innovative defense technology company developing next-generation safety-critical systems for mission-critical applications. As the organization continues to expand, they're seeking experienced professionals with expertise in Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) or comparable safety-critical systems.

This opportunity is open to candidates with either a Program Management or Electrical Engineering background. Whether your strengths lie in leading complex engineering programs or developing advanced safety-critical hardware, you'll play a key role in delivering advanced technology from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Lead the delivery of complex safety-critical engineering programs from concept through deployment.
  • Manage program schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, and overall execution.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, firmware, software, systems, and mechanical engineering.
  • Support safety reviews, certification activities, system validation, and customer deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary interface between engineering teams, customers, and key stakeholders.

Electrical Engineering

  • Design, develop, and integrate Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) or similar safety-critical electronic systems.
  • Support system architecture, hardware development, integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Develop technical documentation supporting testing, certification, and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead root cause investigations.
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver robust, mission-ready solutions.

Qualifications

We're interested in candidates with experience in some or all of the following:

  • Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) or comparable safety-critical defense or aerospace systems
  • Systems engineering and full product development lifecycle
  • Verification, validation, integration, and testing of complex systems
  • Defense safety certification and review processes
  • Cross-functional collaboration within multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Experience working in fast-paced, technically challenging environments

Program Management Candidates Should Also Have:

  • Proven experience managing complex defense or aerospace programs
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and program execution skills

Electrical Engineering Candidates Should Also Have:

  • Strong background in electrical engineering and safety-critical electronic systems
  • Experience with embedded systems, electromechanical integration, and hardware development
