We are partnering with a leading case ready pork manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their high-performing manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, leading hourly employees, maintaining safety and food quality standards, and ensuring the department consistently achieves its production, efficiency and customer requirements.
The successful candidate will be a strong floor-based leader who can motivate teams, drive accountability and identify opportunities to improve throughput, labor efficiency, yield and overall production performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities across the assigned processing area, ensuring production schedules and targets are consistently achieved.
- Lead, coach and develop production employees, establishing clear expectations around safety, quality, productivity and attendance.
- Monitor production performance throughout the shift, identifying and resolving issues that impact throughput, efficiency or product quality.
- Ensure employees follow all USDA, HACCP, GMP, food safety and company requirements.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure all employees follow established safety procedures and policies.
- Monitor labor utilization, staffing levels, overtime and productivity to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Drive improvements in yield, throughput, labor efficiency, waste reduction and line performance.
- Work closely with Maintenance to address equipment issues and minimize production downtime.
- Partner with FSQA to ensure products consistently meet company, regulatory and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular floor inspections and ensure production areas maintain appropriate housekeeping and sanitation standards.
- Communicate production performance, issues, staffing requirements and operational priorities to Production Management.
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate production issues and assist with corrective and preventative actions.
- Train and develop employees while identifying high-potential team members for future leadership opportunities.
- Ensure accurate completion of production documentation, reports and shift handovers.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced Production Supervisor, Production Lead, Operations Supervisor or similar manufacturing leader with experience within pork, meat, poultry, case ready, further processing or another high-volume food manufacturing environment.

- Build positive relationships with hourly employees while maintaining strong accountability.
- Identify problems on the production floor and implement practical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Maintenance, FSQA, Sanitation and other plant functions.
- Lead by example and maintain high standards around safety, quality and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience within pork, beef, poultry, RTE, case ready or other protein processing strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing, production processes and operational KPIs.
- Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements.
- Experience working within a multi-shift, high-volume production facility.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Business or a related field preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered.
