Production Manager

Production Manager - Food Manufacturing

CSG are partnered with a leading Food manufacturer to seek a Production Manager with Baked Goods experience, to lead bakery operations and drive operational excellence across safety, quality, production, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead bakery production operations across multiple shifts, overseeing production supervisors and their teams

• Drive day-to-day performance in Production, Quality, and Sanitation to meet safety, quality, reliability, and financial goals

• Coach, develop, and engage employees to maximise productivity, safety, and quality outcomes

• Collaborate with Production Planning, Materials Management, HR, and Finance to optimise schedules, staffing, budgets, and operational efficiency

• Partner with R&D on product development and plant trials

• Initiate cost-saving measures through staffing, standards, and yield improvements

• Fill in as Plant Manager during short-term absences

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience, with direct Baked Goods experience

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills (FMECA, RCA, SPC tools preferred)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Knowledge of basic math and statistics

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout a manufacturing facility

• Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed

• Good vision, hearing, and physical capabilities to perform all job functions

Work Environment:

• Production office environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and odours

• Routine use of computers, phones, photocopiers, and other standard office equipment
