Production & Maintenance Manager - Snacks & Baked Goods Manufacturing
CSG are partnered with a rapidly growing Snacks & Baked Goods manufacturer to appoint a Production & Maintenance Manager to lead day-to-day plant operations across production, maintenance, and sanitation. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role focused on strengthening structure, improving reliability, and driving consistent operational performance in a scaling environment.
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing with executive-level exposure, this role plays a critical part in shaping plant culture, systems, and long-term operational growth.
Lead daily production, maintenance, and sanitation execution across the facility
Direct Production Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, Mixing Operators, and Production Associates
Drive performance across safety, quality, output, waste, downtime, and labour efficiency
Partner closely with FSQA to maintain strong GMP, HACCP, and audit-ready standards
Strengthen preventive maintenance systems and improve equipment reliability
Prioritise breakdown response, repairs, capital upgrades, and line improvements
Improve up time, changeovers, and overall equipment effectiveness
Develop supervisors and front-line leaders, driving accountability and engagement
Support hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
Implement stronger operating procedures, training systems, and production standards
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
Review production and downtime data to guide operational decisions
Collaborate cross-functionally with Warehouse, Procurement, and Plant Leadership
Support labour planning, budgeting, cost control, and strategic growth initiatives
Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience with full floor ownership
Experience leading supervisors and/or maintenance teams preferred
Food or CPG manufacturing experience required (snacks or baked goods experience advantageous)
Strong knowledge of production, maintenance, sanitation, and plant safety systems
Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF environments
Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving capability
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred but not required
Experience supporting equipment upgrades or operational scale-ups advantageous
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout a manufacturing facility
Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods
High-volume snacks and baked goods manufacturing environment
Exposure to noise, dust, temperature variation, and moving equipment
Combination of production floor leadership and office-based planning responsibilities
