Process Engineer - Snacks Manufacturing

CSG are partnered with a leading snacks manufacturer, who are searching for a Process Engineer to drive operational efficiency, process optimisation, and continuous improvement across a high-volume production facility.

This is a high-impact technical role focused exclusively on snacks manufacturing, supporting line performance, waste reduction, quality consistency, and capacity growth within a scaling environment.

This position will play a critical role in strengthening process control, standardisation, and performance visibility across production lines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and optimise snacks manufacturing processes to improve throughput, yield, and efficiency

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, downtime reduction, and waste control

  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement sustainable corrective actions

  • Support new product development and scale-up from trial through full commercial production

  • Develop, review, and standardise SOPs and process documentation

  • Partner closely with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and line performance

  • Conduct root cause analysis using production data and implement structured solutions

  • Support capital projects including equipment specification, installation, commissioning, and validation

  • Drive process capability improvements to enhance quality consistency and reduce variation

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, FSQA, and Supply Chain


Qualifications:

  • 3-7+ years of experience in process engineering within snacks manufacturing

  • Strong understanding of high-speed production environments

  • Experience working with extruded, baked, fried, or seasoned snack products preferred

  • Proven track record improving OEE, yield, and cost performance

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and production data analysis

  • Experience supporting capital projects and equipment upgrades

  • Hands-on approach with strong floor presence

  • Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline preferred)
