I'm recruiting on behalf of one of the largest privately K-12 architecture firms in the United States, an employee-owned practice with an outstanding reputation for educational planning and design, long-tenured leadership, and a people-first culture.

The firm is entering a significant period of growth, investing heavily in its Central Texas presence and looking to appoint a Principal Architect - K-12 Education to help lead and expand its San Antonio office alongside an established market leader.

This organisation remains (and will remain) employee owned, with a long-term approach to growth, a highly collaborative culture, and an ownership model that rewards those who help build the business over time.

The Role

  • Partner with the existing Principal to lead the continued growth of the San Antonio practice
  • Serve as a senior client advisor across major K-12 education projects and district relationships
  • Lead pursuits, presentations and business development activities
  • Act as Principal-in-Charge on complex education projects from planning through delivery
  • Mentor and develop architects, project managers and emerging leaders
  • Collaborate with leadership across Texas to drive strategic growth initiatives
  • Play a key role in expanding one of the firm's fastest-growing markets

Requirements

  • Licensed Architect with experience delivering K-12, Higher Education, Civic or Institutional projects
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams and client relationships
  • Track record of business development, pursuits or market-facing responsibilities
  • Passion for mentoring staff and building high-performing teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in long-term practice growth
