We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to lead and grow sales of turkey and poultry products across the UK retail, wholesale, and foodservice markets. This role requires an individual with strong existing industry relationships, a proven track record in protein sales, and the ability to develop both strategic and hands-on sales activity.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving volume, margin, and long-term customer partnerships while representing the business professionally within the UK poultry sector.
Manage and grow sales across retail multiples, wholesalers, and foodservice operators
Leverage existing contacts and relationships within the poultry/turkey industry to win new business
Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
Negotiate pricing, promotions, contracts, and supply agreements
Maintain strong customer relationships and act as the main commercial point of contact
Identify new market opportunities, product listings, and channel expansion
Work closely with production, planning, and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and reporting to senior management
Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
Proven experience in sales management within the poultry, turkey, or wider protein/meat sector
Established contacts across UK retail, wholesale, and/or foodservice channels
Demonstrated success in business development and account management
Strong negotiation and commercial skills
Solid understanding of UK food supply chains and customer expectations
Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider commercial team
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Results-focused, proactive, and commercially minded
Full UK driving licence
