Position Title: Midwest Sales Manager - Poultry (Animal Health & Nutrition)

Overview
An established player within the animal health and nutrition space is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across the poultry segment, primarily in the Midwest. This role focuses on creating demand, delivering value-led solutions, and building long-term partnerships with producers and key industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and business development by identifying and securing new customers while managing existing accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with poultry producers, veterinarians, and nutritionists
- Use a solution-based sales approach to position products and services effectively
- Develop and execute territory and account plans within the poultry segment
- Provide guidance to customers to improve performance and profitability through tailored solutions
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
- Forecast sales and track account performance against targets
- Represent the business at key industry events and conferences
- Collaborate closely with technical sales teams to support customer engagement and product positioning
- Maintain regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline, and opportunities
- Share market feedback and identify new product/service opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, or a related agricultural field
- 5+ years of sales experience within feed or feed additives (poultry preferred)
- Strong technical understanding of feed additives and poultry production systems
- Proven track record in B2B sales and managing technical product portfolios
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, manage accounts, and close deals
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, able to manage priorities independently, and comfortable in a small team environment
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel regularly (approx. 3 nights per week)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general CRM tools
