Position Title: Midwest Sales Manager - Poultry (Animal Health & Nutrition)
Location: Remote
Reporting To: VP of Animal Nutrition & Health

Overview
An established player within the animal health and nutrition space is seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across the poultry segment, primarily in the Midwest. This role focuses on creating demand, delivering value-led solutions, and building long-term partnerships with producers and key industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and business development by identifying and securing new customers while managing existing accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with poultry producers, veterinarians, and nutritionists
  • Use a solution-based sales approach to position products and services effectively
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans within the poultry segment
  • Provide guidance to customers to improve performance and profitability through tailored solutions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy
  • Forecast sales and track account performance against targets
  • Represent the business at key industry events and conferences
  • Collaborate closely with technical sales teams to support customer engagement and product positioning
  • Maintain regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline, and opportunities
  • Share market feedback and identify new product/service opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Nutrition, or a related agricultural field
  • 5+ years of sales experience within feed or feed additives (poultry preferred)
  • Strong technical understanding of feed additives and poultry production systems
  • Proven track record in B2B sales and managing technical product portfolios
  • Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, manage accounts, and close deals
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, able to manage priorities independently, and comfortable in a small team environment
  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly (approx. 3 nights per week)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general CRM tools
