Plant Quality & Environmental Co-ordinator

About the Company
Our client is a global leader in the production and distribution of industrial minerals for a variety of industries such as construction, packaging, food, pharmaceuticals and agriculture.
They are on the hunt for an experienced Plant Quality & Environmental Co-ordinator to support the plant's Quality (including product regulatory) and Environmental Management Systems, implementing Quality, Environmental and Process standards and procedures, audit for compliance and work with plant and Sustainability stakeholders to identify solutions and manage continuous improvement process.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the establishment, maintenance and improvement of the Plant's Quality (including product regulatory) and Environmental management systems to meet the needs of external certification bodies (ISO9001, FAMIQS) and any future certification or standards.
- Implement Quality, Environmental and Process standards and procedures, audit for compliance and work with Plant Manager and relevant Sustainability Members to find solutions and manage the improvement process
- Responsible for ensuring all products comply with specifications, fulfilling customer needs whilst optimising raw material requirements
- Ensure ongoing analysis of production parameter, processes and performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and overseeing implementation. When required aid in process fault finding
- Responsible for evaluating raw material quality and defining "fit for purpose" based on final product specifications and customer needs
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in managing quality and environmental systems and processes improvement in related industry
- Tertiary education in a STEM field
- Profound knowledge and understanding of Quality Management and Environmental Management systems
- Strong analytical and methodical skills in data interpretation
- Ability to find solutions and proactively solve problems
- Excellent people and interpersonal and communication skills
