About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join a growing U.S. meat manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused marketing professional with experience in the meat, protein, food manufacturing, or CPG industry.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that support sales growth, strengthen customer relationships, expand market presence, and drive new business opportunities across the U.S. meat market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's annual marketing strategy and marketing plan.
- Partner closely with Sales and Commercial teams to drive revenue and customer growth.
- Develop marketing strategies across fresh, processed, cooked, deli, and value-added meat products.
- Lead marketing initiatives supporting major retail, foodservice, club, distributor, and private-label customers.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities within the meat industry.
- Monitor consumer and category trends across beef, pork, poultry, deli, sausage, bacon, ham, meat snacks, and prepared meats.
- Support new product development, product launches, packaging, and commercialization.
- Create customer presentations, sales materials, product literature, presentations, and promotional campaigns.
- Work directly with Sales teams to develop customer-specific marketing programs and strategies.
- Analyze customer, category, pricing, and market data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Manage external agencies, creative partners, and marketing suppliers.
- Track marketing performance and measure the commercial impact and ROI of marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Product Development, Quality, Procurement, and Sales to bring new products to market.
- Help develop the company's brand positioning and messaging within the U.S. meat market.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably within the meat, protein, food manufacturing, or CPG industry.
- Direct experience with meat products, meat processing, value-added meats, deli, cooked meats, sausage, bacon, ham, or meat snacks.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. retail and/or foodservice meat market.
- Experience supporting major grocery, club, foodservice, distributor, or private-label customers.
- A strong commercial mindset and the ability to connect marketing activity to sales and revenue growth.
- Experience with product launches, packaging, promotions, and new product development.
- Strong analytical and market-research skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project-management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial meat manufacturing environment.

Candidates with experience from companies such as Smithfield, Hormel, Tyson, Perdue, Pilgrim's, JBS, Cargill Protein, Clemens Food Group, Routh Packing, Cloverdale Foods, Fresh Mark, Abbyland Foods, Leidy's, Manda Fine Meats, Johnsonville, Dietz & Watson, Applegate, Premium Brands, Monogram Foods, Chomps, Archer, or Jack Link's would be particularly relevant.
Experience marketing value-added or ready-to-eat meat products is highly desirable.
