We are supporting a major global mining organisation in the search for a Senior Water Management Solutions Leader to help drive innovative and practical water management strategies across complex mining operations.
This role focuses on reducing freshwater dependency, improving water reuse and treatment systems, and implementing practical solutions that optimise operational performance while supporting responsible water stewardship.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and technical teams to identify opportunities, develop business cases, and lead the implementation of water management improvements across multiple sites.
You will have a strong operational background within mining and experience implementing water management systems at operating mine sites. In particular, You should have worked directly with mine water balance, water reuse and treatment systems, and who understand how water interacts with processing environments such as hydromet or concentrator operations.
Lead the evaluation and implementation of water management solutions across operating mining assets
Analyse water balance, water quality, and treatment requirements to identify optimisation opportunities
Develop and scope projects to improve water reuse, recycling, and treatment efficiency
Work collaboratively with operational teams, engineers, and technical specialists to design and deliver practical solutions
Support planning, design, and execution of new water infrastructure or upgrades to existing systems
Develop business cases and funding proposals for water optimisation initiatives
Identify emerging technologies and innovations that could improve operational performance
Support site teams with implementation, troubleshooting, and performance assurance
We are looking for a technically strong professional with experience working in operational mining environments and delivering practical water management improvements.
Key requirements include:
Degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering (or similar technical discipline)
Significant experience working with mine water systems within operating mining environments
Experience with water balance, water treatment, water quality, and supporting infrastructure
Understanding of processing environments such as hydrometallurgy or concentrator operations
Experience developing and implementing operational improvement projects
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with the ability to drive implementation
