Have you ever wanted to build technology that will enable humans to live and work on the Moon?
We're partnered with a venture-backed aerospace company developing the critical infrastructure required for a permanent lunar presence. Their mission is focused on producing water, oxygen, and power directly from lunar resources, laying the foundation for sustainable operations beyond Earth.
Recent milestones include:
* Successful development and testing of proprietary lunar resource extraction technologies
* Building robotic systems designed to operate in extreme lunar environments
* Growing a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on solving some of the hardest challenges in space exploration
* Backed by leading investors supporting long-term lunar and Mars settlement initiatives
* Working toward technologies that reduce dependence on Earth-supplied resources for future lunar missions
As Lead Avionics Engineer, you will take ownership of the architecture, development, qualification, and integration of all avionics systems across multiple spacecraft and robotic platforms.
This is a highly visible technical leadership position with responsibility for flight computers, communications, power management, sensors, motion control systems, and overall avionics architecture.
Responsibilities:
* Defining avionics architectures, interfaces, and system requirements
* Leading design, development, integration, and qualification activities
* Driving environmental testing campaigns including thermal, vibration, and shock testing
* Managing technical risks and ensuring successful program execution
* Mentoring and guiding other electrical and avionics engineers
Requirements:
* 8+ years developing avionics systems for spacecraft or spaceflight applications
* Experience with Altium or similar PCB design tools
* Strong understanding of power electronics, sensors, instrumentation, and communication protocols
