The Opportunity

As an Internal Technical Sales professional, you will play a critical role in supporting the sales function by providing technical expertise, managing customer requirements, and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and external clients.

This is a varied role that blends technical expertise, customer engagement, and sales coordination. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting internal sales operations and maintaining accurate CRM data.
  • Developing tailored technical solutions based on customer requirements and specifications.
  • Preparing quotes, proposals, and costings from drawings, samples, and design briefs.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
  • Collaborating with account managers, engineers, and production teams to deliver solutions.
  • Supporting the implementation of sales strategies and contributing to business growth.
  • Assisting with administrative and operational tasks to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Maintaining strong communication across internal stakeholders and global teams.

This role requires someone who can balance technical detail with customer-facing communication, while working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About You

You are a technically minded and commercially aware professional who enjoys problem-solving and working closely with customers.

You will bring:

  • At least 3 years' experience in sales, internal sales, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • A background in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred) or strong technical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong MS Office skills; experience with ERP/CRM systems (e.g. SAP) is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • A proactive, "can-do" attitude and ability to work both independently and within a team.
