A well-established high voltage engineering services provider delivering testing, commissioning and asset support across the energy sector is expanding its HV services team in Queensland.

Due to continued project growth, the business is looking to appoint multiple Senior HV Test Technicians to support high voltage testing and commissioning activities across a range of power infrastructure projects.

The Role

As a Senior HV Test Technician, you will be part of a specialist HV team responsible for testing and commissioning high voltage systems across substation and utility projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Secondary injection testing and commissioning of protection schemes

• Primary injection testing of HV equipment and protection systems

• Substation commissioning and pre-commissioning activities

• Whole point testing and system verification

• HV asset audits and functional testing

• Supporting commissioning teams during energisation and project delivery

• Working across HV infrastructure projects throughout Queensland

About You

You will be an experienced HV testing or commissioning professional with a background in substation or utility environments.

Ideally you will have:

• Experience in HV testing and commissioning within substations or utilities

• Strong capability in secondary injection testing and protection systems

• Exposure to primary injection testing and HV equipment testing

• Understanding of protection schemes, relay testing and commissioning processes

• Relevant electrical trade or technical qualification

• HV switching / authorisation tickets (or ability to obtain)

• Ability to travel to project sites when required
