Are you a confident Health & Safety leader who thrives on driving positive change?

We're seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of health, safety and environmental standards across a multi-site operation. This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible role where you'll shape strategy, influence senior stakeholders, and create a culture where safety is genuinely embedded.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to engage, challenge and inspire teams at every level.

The Opportunity

You'll lead the continued development of a progressive HSE framework, ensuring best practice, legal compliance, and practical implementation across the organisation. Working closely with operational leadership, you will champion proactive risk management and continuous improvement initiatives that protect both people and business performance.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Setting the direction for health, safety and environmental strategy across all sites

  • Providing expert guidance to senior leadership on regulatory requirements and risk exposure

  • Embedding a culture of ownership, accountability and safe behaviours

  • Overseeing site audits, inspections and risk management processes

  • Leading investigations into incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative measures

  • Monitoring HSE performance data, identifying trends and driving measurable improvements

  • Developing and delivering engaging safety training programmes

  • Ensuring robust emergency planning and crisis preparedness frameworks are in place

  • Acting as the key point of contact for external regulatory bodies where required

About You

We're looking for a hands-on leader who can balance operational realities with strategic thinking. You will bring:

  • 5 years + experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within a manufacturing, construction, logistics, healthcare or similar operational environment

  • A recognised professional qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5 or equivalent)

  • Professional body membership (IOSH Chartered or working towards)

  • Strong working knowledge of current HSE legislation and compliance standards

  • Experience managing audits, investigations and safety improvement programmes

  • The ability to influence and build credibility across all levels of an organisation

  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong analytical capability

Why This Role Stands Out

This is more than a compliance-driven position. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping culture, driving engagement, and delivering meaningful improvements that make a tangible difference to people's day-to-day working lives.

If you're ready to take ownership, lead from the front, and make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.
