Glazing Senior Estimator

This position will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and others as required to establish accurate estimates from the planning stage through the project bid-out stage and is required to have the following skills:

· Understand and able to read and analyze construction blue prints (plans, specification).

· Performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information.

· Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.

· Utilizing and managing in-house historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy. Apply costs and rates, as provided by Director of Estimating.

· Request, organize and negotiate vendors quotations to ensure the quotes meet contract documents

· Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.

· Evaluate changes in scope per updates bid documents.

· Assist PM in providing change order estimates.

· Work and collaborate with Team Members

· Participate in Value engineering reviews.

· Participate in negotiating construction cost estimates with other parties.

Requirements:

· Minimum five years minimum of curtainwall, storefront, window wall estimating, and/or project management experience for complex vertical construction projects.

· A minimum of a bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or related experience.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
