Commercial Glazing / Architectural Metal Project Manager

An established commercial glazing and architectural metal contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team. The company specializes in commercial glass, glazing, architectural metal, and building-envelope projects, working with general contractors, developers, architects, and owners across a variety of commercial construction projects.
The Project Manager will take ownership of projects from contract award through completion, coordinating with clients, general contractors, suppliers, subcontractors, and field installation teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial glazing and/or architectural metal systems and be comfortable managing multiple projects, schedules, budgets, procurement, submittals, and change orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial glazing and architectural metal projects from award through closeout.
- Review contracts, architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with general contractors, architects, suppliers, subcontractors, and field crews.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, material procurement, change orders, and project documentation.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, costs, and profitability.
- Coordinate material purchasing and deliveries to meet project schedules.
- Work closely with estimating during project handoff and ensure scope is clearly understood.
- Coordinate with field teams to resolve installation issues and maintain project progress.
- Attend project meetings and communicate project status to customers and stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks, scope gaps, and change-order opportunities.
- Manage project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and support repeat business.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial glazing, architectural metals, or building-envelope project management experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial glazing and/or architectural metal systems.
- Experience with curtain wall, storefront, entrances, windows, glass, metal panels, or related systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
