Commercial Glazing Project Manager

Location: Sterling, VA
Job Type: Full-Time

A well-established commercial glazing contractor in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team. The company specializes in commercial glazing and architectural glass systems and delivers projects across the commercial construction market.

The Project Manager will oversee commercial glazing projects from contract award through completion, serving as the primary point of contact for general contractors, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, budgets, procurement, submittals, coordination, and overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial glazing projects from award through closeout.
  • Review contracts, architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, material procurement, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall profitability.
  • Coordinate material orders and ensure products are delivered in line with project schedules.
  • Work closely with estimators during project handoff to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to operations.
  • Coordinate with field teams and installation crews to resolve project issues and maintain progress.
  • Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Manage project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial glazing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems, including curtain wall, storefront, entrances, windows, and architectural glass.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
