An established specialist contractor within the commercial façade and window industry is seeking an experienced Glazing Project Executive to take ownership of project management performance and provide strategic leadership across the organisation.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in façade and window systems, who can oversee project management teams, drive operational excellence and influence the long-term direction of the department.
The successful candidate will act as the senior technical and operational authority across the project management function, working closely with executive leadership, clients, architects, consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Take overall ownership of project management performance, quality and delivery across the organisation.
Establish departmental strategy, long-term objectives and operational direction.
Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers and other project leadership personnel.
Allocate projects and resources based on complexity, risk and individual capabilities.
Review incoming projects alongside executive, sales and engineering teams to assess pipeline, profitability, risk and resource requirements.
Evaluate project documentation, contracts, specifications, budgets, scopes of work and commercial requirements before project handover.
Identify potential design issues, technical risks and opportunities for innovation.
Assess project risks, including façade anchorage, waterproofing, materials, engineering details and performance requirements.
Lead high-level discussions with clients, architects, consultants, general contractors and construction managers.
Oversee project schedules, budgets, monthly billing, change orders and approvals.
Ensure effective coordination between project management, factory operations and field installation teams.
Monitor project progress from initial turnover through fabrication, installation and final completion.
Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve project delivery, efficiency and resource planning.
Prepare and manage the annual departmental budget.
Conduct annual performance reviews and support the professional development of the project management team.
Drive continuous improvement, technical standards and best practices across the department.
Work closely with executive leadership to make strategic decisions and ensure alignment with wider business objectives.
20+ years of relevant experience within the commercial façade, window or architectural building envelope industry.
Extensive technical knowledge of window systems, façade design and building envelope solutions.
Strong understanding of waterproofing, structural anchorage, façade performance and installation methodologies.
Proven experience leading senior Project Managers and overseeing complex projects.
Demonstrable experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of project budgets, contracts, specifications, scheduling and commercial risk.
Experience developing departmental strategies, budgets and operational procedures.
Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Master's degree preferred.
PMP certification would be advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be an established senior leader within the façade or window industry, currently operating at Director, Senior Principal or equivalent level.
They will bring a combination of deep technical expertise, commercial awareness and strategic leadership, with the ability to oversee an entire project management function rather than simply manage individual projects.
They should be comfortable making high-level decisions, developing future leaders and working directly with executive teams to improve overall business performance.
Competitive compensation package.
Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance.
Matching 401(k) retirement plan.
Paid time off and company-paid holidays.
Annual one-week company shutdown.
Dedicated training and professional development support.
