Glazing Estimator

An established commercial glazing and architectural glass contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its team in the New Port Richey, FL area. The company specialises in delivering high-quality glazing solutions across a range of commercial construction projects, including storefronts, curtain wall systems, architectural glass, entrances and other building-envelope applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and bids for commercial glazing projects. Duties will include reviewing architectural drawings and specifications, performing detailed material and labour take-offs, pricing materials and subcontractor packages, preparing bid proposals, identifying project requirements and potential cost risks, and coordinating with suppliers, general contractors and internal project teams. You will also assist with bid submissions, maintain relationships with vendors and clients, and ensure estimates are commercially competitive while maintaining project profitability.

Candidates should have previous experience estimating within the commercial glazing, glass, curtain wall or architectural building-envelope industry. A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, glazing systems, materials and installation methods is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent numerical and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines, and effective communication skills when dealing with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Experience with estimating software and a proven track record of successfully pricing commercial glazing projects would be highly advantageous.
