The company has developed a proprietary process to recover critical raw materials from industrial waste streams and is now entering a pivotal phase: industrialisation and multi-site scale-up across Europe.
As a result of continued growth, they are now seeking a General Manager to partner closely with the CEO and lead this transition from technology to fully operational industrial platform.
The Opportunity
- Lead the industrial scale-up of a first of a kind process
- Build and optimise operations across multiple sites

Key Responsibilities
- Drive execution of the company's strategy with a strong focus on operations and industrialisation
- Lead plant scale-up and multi-site operations, ensuring delivery against timeline, cost, and performance targets
- Oversee supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing processes in a complex and evolving environment
- Build and develop an effective organisational structure, hiring and leading high-performing teams
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic initiatives and growth plans
- Support fundraising activities and investor relations
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a senior industrial leader with:
- 15+ years' experience in industrial environments (e.g. advanced materials, chemicals, water/wastewater, metals, or related sectors)
- A strong track record in operations leadership and industrial execution
- Experience in scaling operations, industrialisation, or plant start-up / expansion
- Exposure to multi-site environments and cross-functional leadership
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to operate in high-growth / ambiguous environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at executive and investor level
- STEM background (MBA or equivalent business exposure is a plus)
Additional Considerations
- Familiarity with European industrial environments is essential
- Previous exposure to Italian culture and language skills are required
- Willingness to relocate to Italy and be closely involved in site operations
