With an established presence across Australia and continued growth in their service offering, they are looking to strengthen their Sydney team with an experienced Field Service Supervisor.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced A-Grade Electrician to take ownership of field service activities across Sydney.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll supervise technicians and subcontractors while also getting involved in maintenance, commissioning, fault finding and new site installations.

Working predominantly across Western Sydney, you'll manage your own schedule and work directly with customers, while having the support of an experienced Service Delivery Manager, engineering team and wider service team in Victoria.

The role also offers exposure to the software side of warehouse automation, supporting new installations through testing and go-live. Training will be provided, and no programming or coding experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise technicians and subcontractors on customer sites
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, commissioning and fault finding
  • Support new automation installations through testing, commissioning and go-live
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled automated equipment and material handling systems
  • Work with warehouse automation software, WMS/WCS and SCADA environments
  • Act as a key technical contact for customers and provide technical support when required
  • Manage service activities and customer requirements across Sydney
  • Support interstate projects when required, with travel generally planned in advance
  • Build strong customer relationships and support the continued growth of the service operation

About You

  • Current A-Grade Electrical Licence with strong hands-on electrical experience
  • Experience within warehouse automation, material handling, conveyors, manufacturing or industrial automation
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • PLC experience, ideally Siemens
  • Previous experience leading technicians, subcontractors or installation teams
  • Exposure to WMS/WCS, SCADA or automation software would be advantageous
  • Confident working autonomously and managing your own schedule
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working directly with customers
  • Flexible, proactive and willing to remain hands-on
