Director, Project Engineering - Mining & Capital Projects

A leading global mining organisation is seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee engineering execution across a portfolio of major capital projects.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can bring together multidisciplinary teams, EPCM partners and site stakeholders to deliver safe, practical and commercially successful projects from study through construction, commissioning and handover.

The Role

• Lead engineering execution across multiple complex capital projects.

• Establish engineering strategies, budgets, schedules, resource plans and performance measures.

• Provide oversight of multidisciplinary engineering teams and external EPCM partners.

• Manage engineering risk, design changes, technical assurance and project interfaces.

• Support constructability

• EPCM delivery, project controls, cost, schedule, risk and change management.

• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively within a complex global organisation.

• Excellent commercial judgement, communication and decision-making skills.

Experience in copper, mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy or large industrial processing facilities would be particularly valuable. Professional Engineer registration is preferred.

Base Salry ($165-$175), annual incentive, long-term incentive opportunity and comprehensive benefits package are available.
